This announcement is not for the Urge but for a great originals band called 'HOOKER' and the call for support is imminent. HOOKER will be appearring in a battle of the bands this wednesday evening, June 20th at 9:00pm sharp! The name of the club is Characters and is located on Great East Neck Rd. in Babylon. Tom Moffatt and his crew of rock & roll innovators have some really great material for all to hear. For you Urge fans that crave some original music sometimes, this is a night for you, 3 bands in all. Of course, if you are receiving this and plan to attend, I'm sure we can count on your vote for HOOKER. If you did not plan on attending, CHANGE THOSE PLANS and come down and show support for these talented guys, who, by the way, are huge Urge fans. Seeing that we are not playing this coming saturday, I am taking the liberty to announce the arrival of a new band on The Sea Breeze scene. Some of you know Chuck Miller. He is the dude that sits in on the skins so Johnny from The Urge can come out front and strut his stuff.
Awesome drummer, that Chuck. His band.....'The Kranks' will be having thier debut performance this Saturday, November 11th, 9:30pm at The Sea Breeze. If the other guys are as good as Chuck, then this band should be pretty damn good. I will be there to cheer them on. I would 'Urge' anyone who is not busy that evening to come down and check it out.

The Urge has teamed up with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). JDRF is working diligently on finding a cure for children affected with Type 1 Diabetes. Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them are children.

There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we CAN expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!

Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. Won't you please give to JDRF as generously as possible? Together, we can make the cure a reality!
